- 1). Turn the Blackberry off.
- 2). Slide off the battery door, and take out the battery.
- 3). Remove the two screws at the bottom of the battery bay with the Philips screwdriver.
- 4). Turn the Blackberry over so its front is facing you, and with your pry tool pry open the very top cover piece that is covering the microphone. (Be careful not to scratch your cover with your pry tool).
- 5). Remove the two torx screws underneath the cover.
- 6). Flip the Blackberry back over. On the top, pry off the corresponding top black cover piece. This is where the camera is.
- 7). Remove the two torx screws that are now exposed after the removal of the camera bay cover.
- 8). Use a pry tool to pry the camera out. Once it is loose from the bay, gently pull it out with your hands and unplug the cable that is connecting it to the motherboard with your fingers. Plug in your new camera and follow the steps in reverse.
