- 1). Disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery to avoid the risk of a short circuit or electric shock.
- 2). Open the glove compartment. Remove the four Phillips screws on the four corners of the front of the compartment. Pull this part of the panel away from the dashboard, releasing one clip. Remove the three screws from the panel below the steering column. Pull down the top edge of the panel. Pull the radio trim panel away from the dashboard. Unscrew the two bolts securing the radio to the dash. Pull the radio out of the dash. Disconnect the wire harness and pull out the radio antenna cable.
- 3). Slide the new radio into the radio mounting kit. Attach the radio antenna adapter to the radio antenna cable. Plug in the adapter cable to the radio antenna port on the back of the new radio. Connect the harness adapter to the wire harness of the new radio. Push the connections together until they click into place. Connect the other end of the harness adapter to the wire harness of the car.
- 4). Slide the mounting kit and radio into the housing on the dashboard, taking care not to trap any of the wiring. Attach the mounting kit to the dashboard. Reattach the dashboard panel and replace all the Phillips screws.
