How to Use Your Panasonic KX-T7630

    • 1). Plug the supplied telephone line cord into the telephone "In" jack on the underside of your unit. Insert the other end of the telephone line into the telephone "Out" jack in your wall. Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the bottom of the handset and the other into the front edge of the phone. Adjust the angle of your phone by lifting up on the unit in the back and holding down the base until the phone clicks into place at the desired angle.

    • 2). Pick up the handset from the unit to place a call within the office. Dial the extension number of the person you wish to reach.

    • 3). Pick the handset up to call an outside contact. Push an outside line or "CO" button that isn't in use. You will know when a "CO" button is in use, because the light beside it will be illuminated. Dial the outside phone number you wish to call.

    • 4). Answer the phone in speaker phone mode by pushing the "Sp-Phone" button when your phone rings. Begin speaking in the direction of your unit, and you will hear your party respond over the speaker.

    • 5). Push the "Hold" button during your current call as a first step to placing a call on hold. You will hear a tone. Put the handset down into its cradle. Retrieve a call placed on hold by picking up the handset and pushing the flashing "CO," "Intercom," or "G-DN" button. Begin speaking into the handset.

    • 6). Push the "Call Log" button to view calls you've received. Use the four-way navigation key to scan left and view the entries of the log. Clear the incoming call list by pushing the "Clear" key. Call an entry in the call log by viewing it and picking up the handset.
