- 1). Follow the manufacturer's instructions and clamp the adjustable horizontal stop at the correct cutting distance from the left of the saw blade. Slide the panel along the tracks from the right until the edge butts against the adjustable stop at the desired cutting distance from the saw blade. The panel saw frame is mounted at an angle to the vertical, which allows the panel to lean backwards against the frame and be held in place by gravity.
- 2). Set the blade to the correct cutting depth according to the manufacturer's instructions. Grasp the handle of the saw. Switch it on by depressing the trigger and locking it in place by pressing the quick release button on the side of the handle with your thumb.
- 3). Hold the handle and slide the counterbalanced saw gently downwards without exerting force to cut smoothly and accurately through the width of the board.
- 4). Switch the saw off by depressing the trigger on the handle and releasing it. Wait until the blade has stopped turning. Lift the saw back to its original position at the top of the tubular shafts, and remove the two halves of the cut panel.
- 5). Unlock the saw body by following the manufacturer's instructions. Twist the handle until the saw blade is set horizontally. Lock the saw body in position according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 6). Slide the saw downwards along the vertical tubular shafts. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use the panel saw's vertical measuring device to position the blade at the correct height before clamping the saw body firmly in place.
- 7). Lift the panel onto the lower track and lean it backwards against the panel saw frame. Switch the saw on and push the panel smoothly through the saw blade to complete the cut. Have a helper hold the upper half of the panel during the cutting process. Remove the upper half of the cut panel and switch the saw off.
