- 1). Line up your acoustical tile with the wood framing. If the tile is too large, mark the tile where it needs to be cut and use a knife or small saw to trim it into shape.
- 2). Turn over the tile so that the bottom side is facing up. Drizzle strong wood glue along the perimeter of the tile. It is not necessary to cover the whole back of the tile with glue, and doing so will make the tiles more difficult to remove should you wish to replace them at any point in the future.
- 3). Turn the tile the right way up again. Position it in the wood framing and press it against the wood. Continue to hold the tile in place for a few minutes to ensure that a strong bond has formed.
