Click on the "Start" button or Windows logo, then click "Control Panel". If the Control Panel is not available from this menu, follow this path from the "Start" button: "Programs" > "Accessories" > "Control Panel". - 2

Locate "Hardware and Sound" on this screen, then click "View devices and printers". Highlight the printer to be shared (ensuring the printer is currently plugged in to the PC). Right-click and choose "Printer Properties". - 3). Select the "Sharing" tab. Check the box "Share this printer". If desired, change the name of the printer to a friendly, and easy to remember, name. Click "Apply", then "OK".
