- 1). Open AutoCAD, right-click on any toolbar and select "Workspaces." On the workspace's toolbar, click the down arrow and select "Save Current As..." Give your current workspace (the visual part of the CUI) a name and click save.
- 2). Hit the Esc key to enter the command line. Type "CUI" and press enter to open the Custom User Interface dialog box. At the top, click the "Transfer" tab. On the left side, under "Customizations in Main CUI," click the down arrow and select "Save As..." Give your CUI a name and save it onto a flash drive for transfer to the new computer.
- 3). Plug the flash drive into the new computer, and transfer the CUI file by clicking and dragging the file name onto the desktop or into an easily accessible folder; alternatively, right-click the file name, select "Copy" and then right-click on the desktop or in the folder and select "Paste."
- 4). Open AutoCAD. Hit the Esc key to enter the command line. Type "CUI." When the Custom User Interface dialog box opens, click the "Transfer" tab. On the left side, click the down arrow and select "Open..." Browse to the CUI file you transferred and open it. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
- 5). Right-click on any toolbar, and select "Workspaces." In the workspaces toolbar, click the down arrow and select your workspace name.
