- 1). Shut down the system and unplug it. Remove the screws at the back of the case and remove the side panel.
- 2). Unscrew all PCI cards from the bottom half of the motherboard. Unplug secondary CD drives or hard drives from the motherboard.
- 3). Close the computer, insert the XP install CD and press any key as prompted to boot from CD.
- 4). Press "Enter" at the welcome and "F8" at the license terms.
- 5). Highlight the drive where you wish to install XP and press "Enter."
