How to Move VMDK to a Different Computer

    • 1). Open the folder containing your VMDK file.

    • 2). Right-click the file, then click "Properties." View the "File size" of the document.

    • 3). Connect a removable storage device larger than the size of the VMDK file.

    • 4). Right-click the VMDK file, then click "Copy."

    • 5). Click "Start" and "Computer."

    • 6). Double-click your storage device.

    • 7). Right-click an empty space in the Windows Explorer window, then click "Paste."

    • 8). Connect the device to the computer you'd like to move the VMDK file to.

    • 9). Open the device from the computer's "Start" menu, then drag the file to the location where you'd like to place it. This moves the file from the storage medium to the computer.
