How to Get Autographed Photos

    By Mail

    • 1). Locate the star's management company or talent agent by searching the Internet for websites such as fanmail.biz.

    • 2). Write a letter to the celebrity and ask for an autographed photo. Enclose a request to have an inscription made to your name if you like, but be prepared to receive a photo signed by the star with no inscription.

    • 3). Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for quicker response.

    • 4). Address and stamp your envelope and mail it to the appropriate address.

    In Person

    • 1). Read celebrity magazines and Hollywood gossip websites such as tmz.com to see which Los Angeles hot spots or New York restaurants your favorite star frequents. Paparazzi with affiliations to websites often provide live streaming footage of celebrities' comings and goings.

    • 2). Visit the site if you know your favorite celebrity is there, and wait outside until the celebrity appears. Approach him calmly and politely and ask for his autograph.

    • 3). Bring a headshot or photo of the celebrity and a marker to make it convenient for the person to sign if you are fortunate to see them. It's a long shot unless you know where your celebrity is appearing or likely to appear, but it happens every day.

    Purchase on Ebay

    • 1). Search on ebay for your favorite celebrity's autographed photo.

    • 2). Sign up for a free ebay bidder's account if you do not have one.

    • 3). Bid on items from sellers who offer authenticated copies guaranteeing the signature.

    • 4). Continue to bid on the star's photograph until you win the auction.

    Join a Fan Club

    • 1). Search the internet for the celebrity's fan club.

    • 2). Read what benefits are provided to fan club members. Look to see if an autographed photo is available to members.

    • 3). Pay a fee to join or sign up for free if that option is available.

    • 4). Chat with other fan club members online or in a forum if one is available. Ask if anyone has an autographed photo you can purchase or swap, or if anyone knows where you can obtain one.
