- 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and select the "Control Panel."
- 2). Click the "Add Printer" option to start the wizard. Click the "Next" button when the Add Printer wizard starts.
- 3). Click the "Printer Connection" option and click "Next."
- 4). Click the "Browse for a Printer" button and click the "Next" button. The Shared Printers list opens. Locate the missing printer from the list of all printers.
- 5). Click the missing printer's entry and click "Next."
- 6). Follow any additional on-screen instructions for completing the printer setup. For example, a driver may be downloaded to your computer for the printer. Once complete, click "Finish." The missing printer is now set up in Windows XP.
