- 1). Close the awnings if they are adjustable. This will make them easier to clean.
- 2). Spray the awnings with a hose on high power to remove as much of the surface dirt as possible.
- 3). Mix 1 gallon of water with 1/3 cup mild detergent and 2/3 cup trisodium phosphate. Stir the mixture well. Dip the sponge or soft bristled brush into the mixture.
- 4). Scrub the aluminum awning with the mixture to clean off any heavily soiled dirty areas. Rinse the soap mixture off of the awning with the hose when you are finished.
