- 1). Click the circular "Windows logo" button on the lower left side of the computer screen. For Windows XP and earlier operating systems, click "Start."
- 2). Click on "All Programs."
- 3). Click on "Accessories" and click "Command Prompt."
- 4). Type "ipconfig /flushdns" without the quotation marks in the command prompt. Press "Enter." This flushes the DNS cache.
