- 1). Hold down the "Play/Pause" button until the LCD screen goes blank to shut off your iPod.
- 2). Press the "Menu" or "Select" button to start your iPod.
- 3). Flip the "Hold" switch into the "Hold" position immediately after starting your iPod. Your iPod will boot the original Apple OS.
