- 1). Click the "Computer" icon two times. Typically, this icon is found on your user desktop. Clicking on the "Start" menu will also reveal it on newer versions of Windows. Alternately, open Windows Explorer by clicking "Start," pointing to "All Programs," pointing to "Accessories" and then clicking "Windows Explorer." Then locate the drive you want to share.
- 2). Right-click on the drive that you want to share.
- 3). Click "Sharing and Security."
- 4). Check "Share this Folder on the Network."
- 5). Click "Apply," then "OK." Drive sharing will now be turned on and configured.
