- 1). Click "Start" on your desktop, then click "Control Panel."
- 2). Click the "User Accounts" icon in the Control Panel window.
- 3). Select the user account you want to restrict by clicking its name under "Pick an Account to Change."
- 4). Click the "Change the Account Type" link.
- 5). Click "Limited" under "Pick a New Account Type."
- 6). Click the "Change the Account Type" button.
