- 1). Turn off the handset by pressing the "talk" button.
- 2). Turn the phone over and remove the battery compartment cover.
- 3). Disconnect the wire running from the battery to the handset. Discard the battery.
- 4). Connect the wire running from the new battery to the handset. Replace the battery compartment cover.
- 5). Charge the battery a full 16 hours before using the handset.
