- 1). Open the BitComet torrent client.
- 2). Hit Ctrl-P. This will bring up the Preferences screen. Click the Connection tab.
- 3). Select the Unlimited Download option. This will allocate the majority of your bandwidth to torrent downloads. If you want to save some bandwidth for other tasks, do not click this option.
- 4). Select the Advanced tab in the same window. Then select Connection.
- 5). Change the number in the Maximum Connections Per Task box to any number between 20 and 600. Typically, this option will be set at Auto before you do this. The higher you set the number, the faster your downloads will go. However, setting the number very high increases the risk of your server frequently timing out.
- 6). Set the Connections to Keep Per Task box to 50. This option is found in the same window. Again, it often shows up as set to Auto before you change it.
