- 1). Remove everything from inside the cabinet and put it somewhere out of the way. You can't do a thorough cleaning with dishes and cups in the way.
- 2). Mix a little mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, into a bucket of warm water. Mix and add more detergent until the water is sudsy.
- 3). Dip your rag into the solution and use the rag to wipe down the cabinets, both inside and out. Spend extra time scrubbing any food, water or grease spots until they come out.
- 4). Dry the entire cabinet immediately, as prolonged exposure to moisture can damage the laminated wood. Use a lint-free cloth to do this.
- 5). Clean stuck-on material, such as gum or wax, by placing a bag of ice onto the material for several minutes. Remove the bag, and scrape the material with your knife. It should crumble away from the cabinet. Clean the area with a mild detergent.
