How to Uninstall a Password Protected Program on Windows XP

    • 1). Double-click the "My Computer" icon located on the desktop. Alternatively, "My Computer" can also be accessed through the "Start" menu at the lower left-hand corner of the computer screen.

    • 2). Click on "Control Panel" located on the menu which appears on the left side of the "My Computer" screen.

    • 3). Double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon located on the "Control Panel" window.

    • 4). Wait for the pop-up window to populate with the installed programs.

    • 5). Peruse the list in the pop-up window to locate the password protected program to be uninstalled.

    • 6). Left-click one time on the program to be uninstalled to highlight the program. Highlighting the program will cause a "Change/Remove" button to appear.

    • 7). Click on the "Change/Remove" button.

    • 8). Confirm the removal by clicking "Yes" when prompted.
