- 1). Draw the outline of a dollar sign with a pen on a piece of paper. Make the dollar sign 3 to 6 inches tall, or draw a larger shape for a more exaggerated effect.
- 2). Cut out the dollar sign, including the white space inside, with scissors. Bend the paper gently during cutting, so that the paper does not crease.
- 3). Lay your paper dollar sign over a block of foam and trace around it with a pen.
- 4). Cut into the foam along the outline of the dollar sign with a craft knife.
- 5). Paint your dollar sign using a sponge brush with silver paint. Apply paint to all of the cracks and crevices. Allow the paint to dry and then apply a second coat.
- 6). Bore a hole through the top of the dollar sign using your pen. Run the hole parallel to the front of the pendant so that when you string a chain through it, the dollar sign will hang flat against your chest.
