Unique Floral Arrangements for Fall Craft Fairs

Pumpkins

Use a real or artificial pumpkin to create a floral centerpiece. Cut the top out of a pumpkin and clean the pulp and seeds out of the pumpkin. Place a piece of floral foam inside the pumpkin to hold the silk flowers in place. Some flowers to use include burgundy dahlias, sunflowers, cattails and green button poms. Add dried wheat stems to the floral arrangement, and tie a large fall-themed ribbon around the pumpkin for added decoration. For an artificial pumpkin, place the floral foam into the pumpkin and add the flowers.

Create fall floral arrangements using tall, clear vases in a variety of sizes and shapes. Fill the glass vases with water. Use real flowers like sunflowers, fall-colored roses, wheat grass and tiger lilies. For an artificial arrangement in glass, fill the jar with colored acrylic stones. Instead of real flowers, fill the jar with artificial flowers. However, you can still add water and real flowers if preferred. For more decoration, add small artificial pumpkins, scarecrows and cornucopias on a stick to the arrangement. Another idea is to use a clear, empty bottle of wine as a vase for a fall floral arrangement.

Use a miniature wooden wheelbarrow to create an arrangement. Place floral foarm in the bottom of the wheelbarrow and stick artificial flowers into the foam. Cover the foam with a variety of dried grasses. Add an assortment of silk flowers in colors of deep red, yellow, brown and orange. Smaller flowers with large sprays will create a touch of excitement. If you do not have miniature wheelbarrows, you can do the same design using a tall, narrow wooden box.

Wicker baskets are available in a variety of sizes and shapes at your local craft store. Use wicker baskets to create fall floral arrangements. Place floral foam in the bottom of the basket. Add artificial salvias, goldenrods, daylilies, sunflowers and tiger lilies to the foam. Cover the foam with artificial moss. Tie a fall-themed ribbon around the basket for the final touch. Use real flowers in the basket by placing a bowl inside the basket. Put water in the basket and fill with real flowers, and add moss around the bowl to cover it up.
