- 1). Pull the plunger on the caulking gun back and drop the tube into the gun.
- 2). Pull the trigger repeatedly until the plunger comes into contact with the back of the tube of caulk.
- 3). Cut the nozzle of the tube along the bottom at a 45-degree angle with a utility knife.
- 4). Break the seal of the nozzle by inserting a screwdriver or nail into the tip.
