- 1). Wipe your computer's case with a soft, nonabrasive cloth or rag to remove any loose dust and dirt. Wear latex gloves to keep your hands clean.
- 2). Apply one squeeze of scratch removal solution from one of the bottles, “Heavy” or “Fine,” in the care kit for MP3 players to one of the polishing cloths in the kit. Care kits for MP3 players are available at electronic, home improvement and retail super stores as well as online.
- 3). Wipe the scratch with the polishing cloth. Fold the polishing cloth in half, re-apply the scratch removal solution and continue wiping the scratch until it is gone.
- 4). Apply one squeeze of the cleaning solution in the care kit to a clean polishing cloth. Wipe your computer's case with the cloth to remove any scratch remover and dirt residue.
