- 1). Draw a shape resembling a teardrop. The point of the teardrop will be on the bottom left--this is the chin of the dirt-bike helmet. The rounded area of the teardrop will be pointing to the upper right--this is the area of the helmet that protects the back of the head. The sideways teardrop should be flat on the bottom and more rounded on the top.
- 2). Place your pencil at the point of the teardrop--the part of the helmet that protects the chin. Then, move the pencil upward along the edge of the tear drop shape, approximately 1/3 of the way up the far left side of the helmet. Draw a horizontal line cutting into the helmet. The horizontal line should be 1/3 the width of the helmet. This is the bottom of the visor. Draw a vertical line up from this point, about 1/3 of the way up the helmet, then draw another horizontal line back to left edge of the helmet, above the point where you started. This chunk you have drawn represents the area of the helmet that does not cover the face (this is the hole for the eyes).
- 3). Erase the line of the edge of the helmet between the first horizontal line you drew in Step 2, and the second horizontal line you drew in Step 2.
- 4). Place your pencil on the edge of the helmet slightly above the hole for the eyes. Draw a horizontal line that pokes out about as far as the bottom left corner of the helmet. This is the bottom edge of the visor.
- 5). Turn your pencil back around and draw a second straight line that leads back to the edge of the helmet. This is the top edge of the visor.
