Drawing the Slide

• 1). Draw a diagonal, downward sloping line of approximately 7 inches that undulates like a wave coming from the upper-right corner of your paper down towards the lower-left corner.
  
  
• 2). Draw another parallel line of almost equal length that begins 3 inches below the previous one. This line should begin slightly after the first one at the top, and should extend slightly beyond the first one at the bottom. Connect these lines at the top and bottom using a straight, slightly diagonal line. This is the body of the slide.
  
  
• 3). Shade along the bottom line of the slide using darker, upward-curving lines.
  
  
• 4). Draw a ladder attached to the top, right side of the slide. Make the ladder's platform a vertical line parallel to the edge of the paper. Draw the ladder itself using two parallel, diagonal lines sloping down towards the right corner of the page. The lines should be approximately 1 inch apart. This is the outline of the ladder. Draw the ladder steps using short, evenly spaced horizontal lines that connect the two diagonal lines of the ladder's outline. Allow this ladder to reach off of the page, so that only a portion of it is shown. This will give the suggestion of a ladder without making it the focus of the drawing.
  
  
• 5). Draw a horizontal line reaching all the way across the page at the base of the slide. This is the ground.
