- 1). Launch Microsoft Word 2010. The program begins with a new blank document automatically. To change the text in an existing document, click the "File" tab, click "Open" and double-click the document that you want to modify.
- 2). Click and drag with the mouse pointer to highlight the text that you want to change to the 12-point size.
