- 1). Restart the computer and press the "Del" key or "F2" key when the initial splash screen appears. This will boot the system into the BIOS.
- 2). Tab to the "Integrated Peripherals" option and press the "Enter" key. Highlight the option for "Shared Memory Size" and press "Enter."
- 3). Highlight the amount of shared memory to use and press the "Enter" key. Press the "Esc" key to save and exit the BIOS.
- 1). Click the "Start" button and select the "Control Panel." Click on "System and Maintenance," then click the option for "System."
- 2). Click the "Advanced System Options" in the left pane. Enter the administrator password if you are prompted.
- 3). Go to the "Advanced" tab and click the option for "Settings" that is under the Performance section. Go to the "Advanced" tab and click "Change" that is under the Virtual memory section.
- 4). Remove the check from the "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives." Click the drive that has the paging file to change.
- 5). Click the option for "Custom Size" and enter the new size for the paging file in megabytes. Click the "Set" button to save the change and then click the "OK" button.
