- 1). Put the laptop on a metal surface and unplug all cords.
- 2). Push the small switch on the back to remove the battery on the back panel of the laptop. The switch is right above the battery. The battery is elongated.
- 3). Unscrew the two bottom screws on the side panel and the 12 screws on the bottom that keep the Asus L3 laptop cover in place. Do not remove the smaller screws that keep the separate panels together on the back of the laptop.
- 4). Turn the laptop over and gently press down on the panel closest to the display while gliding the panel to the left to remove the top panel.
- 5). Gently raise and unplug the keyboard. Directly beneath the plug for the keyboard, unplug the touch pad. On the middle of the top panel, disconnect the display by unplugging the wire. To the far right of the same panel, disconnect the beeper in the same manner.
- 6). Unscrew the six screws on the metal panel and the four screws on the panel closest to the display. Gently remove the two panels to open the cover of the Asus L3 laptop.
