- 1). Mix 1 cup vinegar and 1 gallon warm water into a bucket. Add a few drops of dish soap.
- 2). Open the sliding screen door. Wash the top and bottom tracks with a rag and the cleaning mixture. Scrub in the corners and crevices with an old toothbrush.
- 3). Dry the tracks with a clean rag to remove any residue.
- 4). Spray a generous coating of silicone lubricant onto the top and bottom tracks. Wipe the tracks lightly with a dry cloth.
- 5). Close the door, then open and shut it a couple of times to spread around the oil. Apply more oil, if necessary, to lubricate the rollers and tracks thoroughly and stop the squeaking.
