Arrange the materials on a flat surface. Place your hawk figurine in front of you. Choose a brush and open the base paint for the hawk's body. Cover the body with pain,t making even strokes and trying not to overlap very much. Let the figurine dry for at least an hour and apply a second coat. Let it dry overnight. - 2

Add feathers and brown shadings to the figurine carefully. Let the paint dry between coats. Refer to a hawk photo for accuracy in feather coloration. Add yellow to the eyes, as well as black pupils. Touch a dark brush to the tips of the beak and along the edges of the feathers to create the look of feathering. Let each coat dry for at least 20 minutes. - 3

Mimic these same steps for painting another hawk, perhaps female or a nest of babies. Shade the body, then add feathers, then shade the feather with darker paint on the tips and edges.
