Create an environment that is similar to what the animals experience in the wild, where they thrive on freedom and fresh air. The more their captive environment mirrors that which is native to their habitat, the more likely the coyotes and wolves are to have natural sexual behavior. Ensure the adults are well-nourished. Wolves and coyotes are wild animals that will never be domesticated. Too often they are bred for pets; that practice is against the law. When preparing an animal for reintroduction into the wild, human interaction has to be limited to ensure its reintroduction into the wild will go smoothly.
Exert self-discipline to remain at a distance and allow the animals to bond with each other instead of you. Maintain distance from the animals without neglecting them. Observe a mutual respect for the animals, while providing the proper care and nurturing for them. Human interaction will not be a favorable aspect of their lives after they are free. Consider their safety. Learn the art of teaching the wolves and coyotes how to hunt for themselves and fit well into the natural hierarchical order of their pack.
