- 1). Begin the edging where you left off on your pineapple motif. Double crochet in the sixth stitch from the hook. Chain one and skip the next stitch. Double crochet in the second stitch. Repeat from the chain-one until you reach the last stitch. Turn your work if you are crocheting in rows. If you are crocheting in the round, attach a split plastic marker to designate the beginning of the round.
