- 1). Launch Nero and double-click on "CD-ROM (Boot)" located in the left pane of Nero. This opens the "Boot" tab.
- 2). Click the check box next to "Bootable logic drive" under "Source of boot image data." Select the CD drive from the drop-down menu.
- 3). Click the check box next to "Enable expert settings." Change "Load segment of sectors" to "07C0" and "Number of load sectors" to "4."
- 4). Click the "ISO" tab at the top of Nero. Make sure all check boxes are clicked in this window. Then change "File name length" to "Max. of 31 chars." Change "Format" to "Mode 1" and "Character set" to "ISO 9660."
- 5). Click the "Label" tab at the top of Nero. Click the "New" button at the top right corner of the screen. Select all of the Windows XP source files from the right pane and drag them to the left-most pane.
- 6). Burn the CD. Click the "Burn CD" icon at the top of Nero to complete the process.
