- 1). Click "Start" and type "Command Prompt" without quotes.
- 2). Right-click the "Command Prompt" item and click "Run as administrator."
- 3). Type "ipconfig /release" to release your IP address. Do not type the quotes. Press "Enter."
- 4). Type "ipconfig /renew" to renew your IP address. Again, do not use the quotes. Press "Enter."
