- 1). Scrape off any stuck-on food using a razor blade placed on the surface at a 30-degree angle to prevent scratching. Do not use steel wool, since this may leave small scratches on the surface.
- 2). Mix together one part vinegar and one part water and wipe it onto the surface to remove the stain. Scrub using a sponge.
- 3). Spray the stain with a commercial stovetop cleaner and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Wipe it away from the surface.
- 4). Mix together baking soda and a small amount of water so that it makes a paste if commercial cleaner does not work. Allow the paste to sit on the stain for a few hours, and then scrub it using an old toothbrush. Wipe off the baking soda with a sponge, wiping in a circular motion.
