How to Make Your Own Superhero 3D Comic

    • 1). Go to Daz3D and download Daz Studio, installing it to your computer (see "References"). Also download the free Micheal 4 and Victoria 4 figures. You will need to purchase texture packs and morphs packs for these figures, and it might be cheapest to simply buy these as part of the "Bundle" packages offered at Daz3D. Once you have these items. Browse through the free area at Daz3D to see if there is clothing, props or other items you might want to use, keeping in mind that some of the characters in your comics have to be the normally dressed people that the tights wearing superheros save.

    • 2). Go to Animotions.com (see "References"). Download what you need and install all of the content you have downloaded to the Daz Studio application, unless it doesn't have an installer, in which case simply extract the files to a folder named "Super."

    • 3). Sketch out a rough version of your comics (based on the items you were able to get), creating panels and filling them with the characters and word bubbles.

    • 4). Open Daz Studio. Browse through the "Library" folders at the left to find the first figure you want to load. Drag it into the scene. Now drag into the scene any other items you want to add to the figure, such as textures, clothing (capes, tights, cowls), scenery or hair. Repeat this for each figure you want in the scene. Click on the "Pose" tab. Now select one of the figures in the scene. Go to the "Parameter Panel" and adjust any morphs for the figure to change its appearance or expression. Now click on the "Power Pose"panel and use it to pose the parts of the figure the way you want them for the first panel of your comic. Repeat this for each figure.

    • 5). Click on the "Render" tab. In the "Render Settings" on the right make the size and quality whatever you want for your first frame in your comic. Then click "Render" and save this image as "Frame 1." Repeat these steps to produce all the images for your comics.

    • 6). Open a graphics program like Photoshop or the freeware GIMP. Sect "File" and click on "New." In the document dialog that opens, make the size whatever you want the overall size for one page of your comic to be. Name it "Page 1." Click "OK." Now use the "Paintbucket" tool to fill the background with the color you want for the borders of your comic.

    • 7). Select "File" and click "Open." Open the "Frame 1" document and copy its contents. Paste this image into the "Page 1" document. Resize and position the image. Bring in all the images for the first page in this way. Create new "page" documents for each page of your comic and add your images to them.

    • 8). Select the "Custom Shape" tool and select a speech or thought bubble form the presets at the top. Add speech bubble where you need them, and then use the "Text" tool to fill in the bubbles. You now have all the pages of your comic and can print them or post them.
