- 1). Click the "Start" button located in the lower-left corner of the Windows desktop.
- 2). Select the "Control Panel" heading.
- 3). Double-left-click the "Users" icon.
- 4). Click the "Change your account name" link under the "Make changes to your account" heading.
- 5). Enter a new name in the textbox provided, and click the "Change name" button in the bottom right corner of the window.
