- 1). Use a 3-inch and a 2 1/2-inch scalloped circle paper punch to punch through a sheet of card stock. The resulting scalloped circles will serve as pattern pieces for the flower.
- 2). Trace the 3-inch scalloped circle once on felt and four times on the wrong side of your cotton fabric. Trace the 2 1/2-inch scalloped circle four times on the wrong side of the fabric. Cut out all of the scalloped circles.
- 3). Lay the felt scalloped circle on your work surface. Fold the four 3-inch cotton scalloped circles in half twice with the right side of the fabric on the outside of the first fold. Arrange them on top of the felt piece with their points coming together in the center like slices of pie. Stitch a few back and forth tacking stitches -- like when you sew a button -- with needle and thread through the point of each folded piece to attach it to the felt piece.
- 4). Fold each of the 2 1/2-inch scalloped circles in half twice with the right side of the fabric on the outside of the first fold. Place the pieces on the flower over the seams of the folded 3-inch pieces with their points coming together in the center of the flower. Tack these pieces to the flower the same way you did the 3-inch pieces.
- 5). Trace a quarter on the left over felt. Cut the resulting circle out. Sew a cluster of seed beads on one side of the felt circle with needle and thread. Use enough beads to cover that side of the felt.
- 6). Attach the bead-covered felt circle to the center of the flower with a dot of hot glue to complete the flower.
