How to Make a New Windows ID

    • 1). Open your Internet browser and go to the Microsoft Network Mail website.

    • 2). Select your country in the drop menu and enter your desired email ID in the blank space provided. This will be your official Windows ID.

    • 3). Type your preferred password in the space below the ID box. Retype the password to confirm and fill out the Password Reset Options to ensure that you will be able to retrieve the password if you forget it.

    • 4). Enter your account information, including name, gender, birth date, state, ZIP code and time zone.

    • 5). Complete the "Word Verification," which is a visual or audio test to prove that you are not a bot. Click the box that confirms that you accept the Windows Live user agreement. This will automatically create your new account.

    • 6). Enter the email address and password for instant access to any Windows Live ID sites.
