- 1). Scrub the ends of the tubing with an abrasive pad. Clean the ends of the brass tubing with acetone, then rinse with water.
- 2). Coat the ends of the brass tubing with flux.
- 3). Place the tubing on a charcoal block or other soldering pad and arrange the tubing so it is flush. Solder will not fill gaps.
- 4). Place a small amount of solder on the tubing where you want to solder.
- 5). Heat the brass tubing with your torch until the solder flows.
- 6). Check the seam to be sure you soldered everywhere you want. If needed, turn the tubing over and repeat.
