- 1). Hold down the power button to turn off your BlackBerry Pearl 8100.
- 2). Slide the battery cover off the back of the phone, exposing the battery.
- 3). Remove the battery.
- 4). Slide the memory card holder in the direction indicated by the "Unlock" arrow, then lift the holder so that it is perpendicular to the back of the phone.
- 5). Remove the old memory card.
- 6). Insert the new memory card so that the metallic pins on the memory card are touching the metallic pins on the BlackBerry.
- 7). Return the memory card holder to its original position, then slide it in the direction indicated by the "Lock" arrow.
- 8). Insert the battery into the compartment, then replace the battery cover.
- 9). Turn on the BlackBerry, then select the "Options" icon.

Scroll to "Media Card" and select it. - 11
Verify that "Media Card Support" and "Mass Storage Mode Support" are both on.
