- 1). Open the "Start" menu. Type "shrpubw" in the search box and click "shrpubw" in the search results.
- 2). Click "Next." Browse to the folder that contains the files you want to burn. Click "Next."
- 3). Name your shared folder. Click "Next." Click "Next" and "Finish."
- 4). Go to the computer with the CD burner. Click "Start" and "Network." Double-click the original computer's network name and confirm that the folder is showing up on the network. Click "Start" and then "Computer." Click the task bar option "Map a network drive." Use the drop-down menu to pick a drive letter. Browse to the folder you shared. Click "Finish."
- 5). Insert a blank CD into your computer. Open your CD burning software and start a new compilation. Use the file explorer to browse to the network drive. Select the files that need to be burned. Click "Burn" after you have dragged or selected all of the files that need to be burned. Set the CD burner speed as low as possible to reduce the chances of the network transfer speed affecting the burn process. Start the burn.
