- 1). Connect your film player to your digital video camera using the RCA to video camera cables that came with your device. Whether your film is VHS, beta, CD, mini DVD, high 8 or any other format, the recording device should have an RCA output.
- 2). Connect the digital video camera to your computer with the firewire cables.
- 3). Turn on your digital video camera and place it in the monitor mode.
- 4). Run the software that came with your digital video camera on your computer. This software has the capability to convert the film media into a digital format on your hard drive.
- 5). Press "Record" on the recording program displayed on your computer monitor. Press "Play" on your film player. Your film will now be recorded onto your computer's hard drive.
- 6). Once the video recording is complete, export the saved media to a DVD-R disk as a standard playable DVD.
