- 1). Click "Start" and then "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "Appearance and Personalization" and then "Adjust screen resolution."
- 3). Click the pull-down dialog next to "Resolution" and adjust the slider to your preferred display resolution. The recommended setting for your monitor will be displayed with (recommended) next to it.
- 4). Click "Apply." Windows will attempt to switch to your new resolution.
- 5). Click "Keep" before the timer expires, this is done to verify you can still see your screen. If you do not click "Keep" or if you press "Revert," your display settings will go back to the original setting.
