Two Dimensional Works

• Builders may underestimate Geomags' ability to make great two-dimensional works for display or teaching purposes. When constructing these, lay the Geomags flat and do not allow them to rise above the surface of the table or working area. It often helps to start with a single Geomag ball in the center and work out from there. Attach rods of various colors to make flowers, wheels and other beautiful designs. It is possible to create images by making a round frame of single colored Geomags, white is particularly useful, and then fill in the center with the colored rods of your subject. You can bring birds, stars, and letters into glorious color within these constructions.
  
  

Suspended Devices

• Suspended circles, squares and other shapes are possible with the flexibility of the Geomag sets. When constructing these devices, pay particular attention to the base of the structure as it will be responsible for supporting the weight and must be distributed evenly. Suspended devices are most easily assembled from the top down; begin making trestle connections in either a circular or straight fashion. Remember that a support must be constructed in the center to prevent breakage, when making square suspensions. This center support can contain a two-dimensional image as above.
  
  

Buildings and Models

• Perhaps the most impressive use of Geomags is to create buildings and models of existing works. When sizing up a model for recreation in Geomags, pay close attention to the support structures and the number of pieces necessary. Large constructions, like the Great Mosque from the Geomag constructions website, will require thousands of Geomag pieces to complete. Simpler models will still need hundreds of the small parts and you should strive to use as many colors as possible to complete the effect. Buildings are not the only model you can create out of Geomags. A simpler construction can be a boat or canoe. With a solid mast, you can even create Geomag sails that appear to billow out from the support. The addition of Magnext or Supermag sets can add further detail and even motorized motion to your models.
