- 1). Add a capful of baby oil to your water when cleaning your floors. Adding baby oil also preserves your linoleum floors.
- 2). Polish your linoleum floors by mixing a solution of one part soapy water made from liquid dish soap and one part boiled, thick starch. Rub your floors with this solution by hand or with a mop. Use a soft, dry cloth to polish your linoleum floors dry.
- 3). Pour a small amount of skim milk or sour milk into the rinse water after you clean your linoleum floors. The skim or sour milk will shine your floor without wax and without an odor.
