- 1). Turn the game camera on by flicking the switch labeled "On/Off" towards the "On" side.
- 2). Read through your game camera's user manual to find the section on menu navigation and camera settings. Most game cameras have an LCD screen in back that displays menu options and camera settings such as flash, exposure and focus. The manual section will tell you where the menu button sits on your camera. Press the menu button once you've found it.
- 3). Use the four directional arrows to move through the menu screen. Look for a tab called "Settings." Use the directional arrows until you've highlighted the "Settings" tab. Press the enter button in the center of the four directional arrows.
- 4). Look for a tab called "Flash" or "Flash settings." Use directional arrows to move the menu cursor until you've highlighted the "Flash" tab. Press the enter button. The menu will display two options: "Flash On" or "Flash Off." Most game cameras have the flash on by default. Use the directional arrow to highlight the "Flash Off" tab. Press enter to engage this setting.
- 5). Disengage the menu on the LCD display by pressing the menu or mode button again on the camera. The display should now be back to camera mode. Take a picture with the game camera by pressing the large circular button on the right side of the camera's top. If you see no flash, then you've successfully hidden the flash on your camera.
- 6). Hide the flash on the game camera in "Auto Shooting Mode." Press the menu button once again. Use the navigation arrows to find the "Auto Mode Settings" tab. Press the "Enter" button. You'll see a list of "Auto Mode" default settings. Look for the "Flash Settings" tab and press enter once you've highlighted it. Select "Flash Off" and press enter. You have now turned off flash for all shooting modes.
