- 1). Measure the card stock with the ruler so it is the size you want your bookmark. For example, measure the card stock so it is 7 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. Cut the card stock to that size.
- 2). Measure and cut the obi material to the same size as measured in Step 1. Cut two pieces of the same size.
- 3). Brush a thin layer of glue over one side of the card stock. Dip the brush into the glue and brush it over the card stock. Cover the entire side of the card stock with an even, but thin, layer of glue.
- 4). Place one piece of the obi material over the side of the card stock with the glue. Center the material on the card stock and press down on the center of the material. This will glue the material to the middle of the card stock. Slide your finger up the material, pressing it to the card stock. Slide your finger down to glue the rest of the material. Smooth the material out with your fingers so there are no bubbles.
- 5). Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with the other side of the card stock and the other piece of material
