- 1). Use containers with lids to hold craft supplies, and arrange them in wooden drawers. Each type of craft item should have its own designated container. Plastic containers, metal baking pans with lids, jars, shoe boxes, egg cartons and zip-lock bags make good containers and usually fit in wooden drawers. The size of your containers will depend on the size of your drawers.
- 2). Place a label on each container to specify what it holds. Use adhesive labels, magnetic labels or a permanent marker to mark containers. Make sure that the labels are facing up so you can easily see them when you open the drawers.
- 3). Label the drawers themselves with an adhesive label or a permanent marker. For example, if one drawer holds all of your sewing supplies, label it "Sewing Supplies."
